Top 2019 Summer Movies

Summer is about to end and so is the season of big-budget blockbusters that Hollywood brings us in the hottest months of the year. This summer we had usual players, some recognizable monsters, lots of superheroes, singing, and talking animals. But that doesn't mean that the summer blockbuster season wasn't great. Here are some of the best movies which came out this summer.
2019 Summer Movies
- Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
Godzilla is back again, and this time he brought with him Rodan, King Ghidorah, and Mothra for a full-on Kaiju war. Millie Bobby Brown, Sally Hawkins, Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, and Ken Watanabe round out the human cast which gives us something beyond the giant monsters fighting each other.
- Rocketman.
When the director of Bohemian Rhapsody, Bryan Singer was fired from the production last year, Dexter Fletcher joined the crew. But this year he got sole directing credit on another biopic about a British pop icon, Elton John. Taron Egerton plays the lead role and does his own singing.
- Dark Phoenix.
Sophie Turner of Games of Thrones gets her first lead role in the new addition to the X-Men franchise. It is centered around Jean Grey which also stars fellow mutant alumni Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender.
- Late Night.
Emma Thompson stars as a late-night talk show host which is the only female host on air. She is at the risk of losing her plum TV gig. She decides to team up with the sole female writer on her staff which is played by Mindy Kaling who also wrote the screenplay. They then attempt to make the show a hit once again.
- Men in Black: International.
This addition to the Men In Black franchise doesn't star the series mainstays, Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. However, the fourth Men in Black movie reunites Thor: Ragnorok stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, who have already proven themselves to be amazing comedic action heroes.
- Child's Play.
It brings back the serial-killer possessed doll. Aubrey Plaza stars as a young mother in this horror reboot. She starts noticing that her son’s doll Chucky is behind some gruesome murders. Brad Dourif, who voiced Chucky in the original franchise didn’t return for the reboot but the film producers came up with a brilliant new voice for Chucky.
- Toy Story 4.
You may or may not have recovered from the weepy ending of Toy Story 3. Get prepared for another installment because the toys are back in town. The fourth addition to the Pixar franchise sees Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the gang embarking on another out of the box toy adventure.
- Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Quentin Tarantino's latest film is an all-star driven. It features Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, Al Pacino, Leonardo DiCaprio, Luke Perry, Timothy Olyphant, Bruce Dern, Dakota Fanning, and James Marsden, among others. The plot is set in the heyday of Los Angeles in 1969. The Hollywood was then Shocked by the murder of Sharon Tate at the hands of Charles Manson's followers.
